Bring your lawn chairs and meet us on the East lawn! Hot Club KC plays toe-tapping gypsy jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club of France. They’ll perform music of Django, Duke, Basie, Bird, Wayne, Trane, The Drifters, and more. A fun event for the entire family.

About Adam Galblum, bandleader

Adam Galblum is a jazz violinist in Kansas City, Missouri. He is bandleader of Hot Club KC, gypsy jazz band.

Adam was a student of 1st generation Count Basie Band alum and legendary jazz violin pioneer Claude “Fiddler” Williams, in the 1990s. Adam recently paid tribute to his late mentor by performing in his honor on the nationally syndicated radio broadcast “12th St Jump.”

In 2017 Adam was a featured guest on NPR affiliate KCUR 89.3FM’s “Central Standard” show, and he has been a repeated guest on 90.1FM KCUR, Kansas City’s community radio and NPR affiliate.

A Kansas City native, Galblum briefly attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and lived in the Denver area from 2005-2014 touring nationally with bluegrass bands. 

Adam’s 2014 solo album, the instrumental Down to the Wire – The Stringband Tribute to the Music of John Mayer, showcases his abilities as an arranger and multi-instrumentalist and features members of Infamous Stringdusters and Punch  Brothers.
